About the Role
Our industrial automation client is looking to hire a Technical Manager who will be managing technical processes and teams along with using technical skills for the company and specific projects.
Other responsibilities includes:
Help lead technology development activities, manage projects and technical resources, and assist in bridging the gap between technology and management
Understanding technical development concepts
Strong capability using design techniques and strategies
Review and implement technological related actions to ensure continuous improvements are made in all aspects of manufacturing as well as for specific projects
Effectively help lead teams to achieve job end goals
Maintains knowledge of developments in industry and incorporate new developments and technologies as required
Develop strong partnerships with critical suppliers Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Grade 12 OSSD or equivalent
Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
Experience in a leadership role specifically with technological related needs
Understanding strengths of materials and power of machines
Ability to work with people and multiple personalities
Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team setting
Ability to make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for project implementation
In-depth knowledge of best practices of machining
Strong programming knowledge and skills
Continuous improvement including the optimization of old and new equipment
