About the Role

Provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning & reporting, and budget management functions. Ensure company procedures conform to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).


Requirements:

  • Conduct monthly financial reporting & detailed reviews

  • Prepare month end package

  • Liaison with Operations regarding financial matters

  • Serve as lead Finance person on major customer account(s)

  • Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions.

  • Review and recommend KPI benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of various business segments.

  • Prepare Forecasts and analyze monthly operating results against budget.

  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.

  • Ensure compliance with reporting company guidelines and requirements.

  • Be in position to provide input on departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

  • Provide recommendations for procedural improvements

  • Interface and work collaborative with other areas of the company such as Operating Excellence, Sales & Marketing, HR & IT.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related; or equivalent experience- Designation strongly preferred

  • 5-10 years in a senior finance or accounting position

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including IFRS, International Financial Reporting Standards would be beneficial .

  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.

  • Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.

  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and

  • A Professional Accounting designation, and five to ten years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position

  • Strong understanding of Operations within the Automotive Industry - Six Sigma Certification preferred
