About the Role
Our automotive client in Windsor is looking to hire a Purchasing Specialist. The successful candidate will be leading the purchasing team in North America, Asia, and Europe.
Additional responsibilities includes:
Able to manage existing suppliers and support new project sourcing activities
Lead VAVE with suppliers by Corporations cost reduction goal
Strategic management of assigned commodities in support of purchased material/equipment requirements
Plan and direct a purchasing program to meet organizational requirements.
Recommend purchasing objectives and ensure understanding of approved objectives by subordinates.
Lead ideas and initiatives in order to improve global competitiveness
Be willing to travel and work in a global environment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
5 years' minimum experience in purchasing working in an automotive industry
Completed post secondary education in Engineering or any related course
Proficiency in computer software like MS Office, ERP/MRP experience is an asset
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent organizational skill
