About the Role

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure all elements are in place to accurately and efficiently process all payrolls (3 to 6).

  • Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements.

  • Compile data from time and attendance sources and load import files received from HR.

  • Ensure  all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory reporting and filing requirements.

  • Maintain, submit, and comply with government remittance requirements.

  • Prepare ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as requested by Human Resources      and Finance.

  • Assist Human Resources and Finance with complex budgeting process annually and      quarterly variance reporting.

  • Manage the ADP payroll system including the testing and implementation of  changes.

  • Ensure accurate data interface with other software, such as Saba (compensation and performance appraisal system)

  • Participate in project initiatives

  • Monitor the accurate processing of staff appointments, transfers, promotions, and      terminations.

  • Prepare  and review payroll account reconciliations.

  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance.

  • Investigate payroll related questions to provide accurate and timely resolutions.

  • Act as liaison with all government agencies and external auditors.

  • Maintain and develop written process documentation.

  • Interpret legislation and collective bargaining agreements impacting payroll.

  • Responsible for managing payroll deduction processing for benefits, pension, union dues, etc.

  • Bonus & Commission Program entries and accrual management.
