About the Role
Build moulds
Direct and train apprentices
Schedule line ups for apprentices
Spotting
Fabricate mould components
Perform fitting and assembly of mould components
Order material when necessary
Follow timelines
Attend tool kick-off meetings
Ensure proper function and fit of components and manifolds
Access and read electronic drawings
Inspect handwork
Attend try-outs at customer facilities
Complete mould checklists
Required Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years experience in mould making (Class A surface highly preferred)
Strong understanding of tool process
Sound knowledge of plastic part manufacturing and tooling
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
Must possess a high school diploma and Mold Maker Certificate or equivalent work experience, with emphasis on injection mould manufacturing
Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations
