About the Role
Looking for a cost estimator with the following characteristics
Business and/or Engineering degree or diploma preferred
Good / Great with Excel
3+ years estimating experience (injection molding)
Injection mold design experience helpful
Strong CAD skills (We use Spin Fire and Catia)
Experience working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Automotive clients a key asset

Key Responsibilities include:
RFQ into the quote tracking system.
Communicates and reviews quotes
Sets target dates and monitors target dates with Sales team.
Supports manufacturing personnel with additional requested information for RFQ packages to ensure quote accuracy.
Notifies division personnel of quote acceptance/non-acceptance.
Tracks all engineering changes to ensure Program Management is aware of the change.
Maintains a database management system to include business not received and status of all current and past quotes including; piece price, engineering changes, dates of quotes, personnel involved in order to develop a full and complete history of each job.
Ensures all quote files are maintained and up to date.
Ensures all customer requirements, APP quote standards, and supplier quote standards are updated on an ongoing basis.
Supports Program Managers at the customer technical reviews meetings (when required).
Assists with pricing issues
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Business or Engineering degree
3 + years of experience as an Estimator in Plastics Injection industry
experience in Blue Print Reading
Proven project management skills and proficiency in MS Excel and CAD, background in
Good communication skills in both written and verbal formats
Must have the capability to problem solve.
Must be able to multi-task in the Automotive Industry
