About the Role
The successful candidate will produce precision components from 3D models and blueprints using Mastercam, with plans to switch to Fusions 360 over the next year. Buildup tooling, setup fixturing and workpieces, picking up/setting machining offsets, shimming warped pieces to ensure proper clamping and dealing with welded jobs that have stock variations.
Other responsibilities include:
Create, edit and run 2D & 3D CNC programs
Utilize Heidenhein TNC 640 controller, 60 tool TC and touch probe
Set up cutting tools & tool holders required based on part geometry and proper cutting procedures required to meet part requirements and tolerances
Carry out machining of plates, frames and small to medium size weldments
Carry out inspection/review of machined parts to ensure accuracy and quality
Identify and report errors and suggest improvements and contribute to the team atmosphere
Required Skills and Qualifications:
5-axis or 3+2 machining experience
Boring mill experience is an asset
Flexible, courteous, friendly and positive approach
Discretion, confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Able to work steady afternoon shift and during overtime
