About the Role

Our automotive client is looking to hire an Account Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing new and existing clients. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Responsible for processing customer orders, handles customer questions and issues, researches and resolves customer problems

  • Work to expediting backorders, short/over shipments, incorrect deliveries

  • Response to the client regarding product questions (Specifications), product quality or packaging complaints

  • Manage customer standing orders, process customer returns and credits

  • Completes customer pricing quotes via telephone, fax, email, RFQ submission to customers

  • Interacts with Sales team to ensure regular communication on customer issues and sales lead

  • Other assigned duties

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Completion of College or University diploma or certificate in a related field such as business, administration, science

  • Previous customer service roles

  • Customer Focused – Good Interpersonal skills enjoys interacting with people

  • Communication skills – verbal and written proficiency to concisely deliver a clear and accurate message

  • Active Listening Skills – Listen to customer requirements

  • Telephone Skills – Maintain helpful tone and attitude throughout the contact, portrays a professional image

  • Team Player – is result-oriented and uses /shares resources within the team

  • Organization and Time Management Skills – can handle a high volume of interactions from a variety of medium, prioritizes and meets deadlines, can multitask completion

  • Ability to handle difficult customers (stays calm while handling challenging customers, shows Empathy, guides customers to stay on task)

  • TS16949 experience an asset

  • Computer and Keyboard skills – excellent in a windows environment, Word, Excel
